Faq,s on UGC NET


New Age limit for UGC NET .

Increased from 28 to 30 years.

Junior Research fellow (JRF) & Assistant Professor qualifying marks

Someone who qualifies for Assistant professor many not eligible for JRF it depends on Marks in the UGC Net exam. most of the cases candidate may eligible both type of posts.



CSIR NET is conducted by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research and University Grant Commission conduct the UGC NET Exam. The biggest difference between these exams is that CSIR NET is organized only for science stream students in five subjects where as UGC NET is conducted in approx 100 subject.

CSIR and UGC are two different governmental departments and both conduct their respective NET entrance exam.
