NIT Calicut Faculty Recruitment 2023 Selection process:

Selection process for the post of Assistant Professor – Grade II (Pay Level- 10)
consists
of three stages.
Stage 1 – Written Test: All eligible candidates shortlisted for the above post shall appear for
the written test (90 minutes) as per the schedule on Day 1. The syllabus for written test is
notified in the Institute Website. Candidates shall be screened after the written test and only
the eligible candidates shall be shortlisted for the next stage of selection process.
Stage 2 – Teaching Presentation: The candidates shortlisted in Stage 1 are required to make
a teaching presentation (10 minutes duration) in the respective departments in the afternoon of
Day 1. The presenation should be on white/black board (no PPTs are permitted) on any topic
related to core courses in the UG curriculam and not on the Ph.D/Research topic.
Stage 3 – Personal interview: Personal interview for the candidates shortlisted after Stage 2
shall be held in the Board Room, I Floor, Academic Block A on Day 2.

NIT Calicut Faculty Salary / pay scale 2023:

Visiting Faculty: (Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor)
Honorarium: The monthly honorarium for each of these positions will be INR 1.2 Lakhs, 1.0 Lakhs and 0.8 lakhs respectively for Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor of Practice.
Allowances: Monthly allowances up to INR 20,000 (reimbursable basis)
Adjunct Faculty: (Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor)
Honorarium: The honorariums will be INR 7000 per day subject to maximum monthly ceiling of INR 1.2 Lakhs, 1.0 Lakhs and 0.8 lakhs respectively for Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor.
Allowances: Monthly allowances up to INR 20,000 (reimbursable basis)
